This past Liz visit, I took her to Cline's to see the motherland of junk.
She was smitten I might add as I knew she would be. I mean how could you not be.
Well we came across a pile of old mirror frames and we both knew they would be amazing chalkboards. Be wary lots of photos.
So here they all are finished.
So now I'll show them to you individually.
Number 1 before
and after- beautiful. Love how the white paint really shows the details.
Number 2 before
and after- lovely.
Number 3 before oops started to paint before taking a picture.
and after.
Number 4 sorry didn't get a before- how did that happen?
Number 5 before
and after- love it.
Number 6 before
and after.
So which one is your favorite?
I'm partial to number 2.

Oh so cute! Loving all the chalkboards! I've made a few too!
ReplyDeletegreat ideas for some old mirrors - I've got a few that need some refreshing.
ReplyDeleteI will take door number 1 please! Great finds and all at one place! lucky!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea for the Chalk Paint. I did my pantry doors, now onto the next project! Thanks for the great ideas!
ReplyDeleteThe first is my favortie, but I love them all. Looks like lots of good ideas here, so I've just become your latest follower. Please, please come visit me and maybe you'll become my follower too. 8-)
ReplyDeleteI'd not be able to resist number 3 if I saw her in a shop. I hopped over from Miss Mustard Seed's blog party. Funny thing is I entered a post on an old mirror I have that is just like these one's of yours, but I don't have the nerve to paint it. Seeing yours is making me re-consider painting it though.
ReplyDeleteYour chalk boards are great!!
ReplyDeletevery cool.

I WOULD HAVE NEVER HAVE THOUGHT TO USE THOSE FOR CHAULK BOARDS, GREAT IDEA!!
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda of partial to #4-I like the simple look. They all turned out great though! I ran out of chalkboard paint~need to get another quart!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jody
I love them all, but maybe #1 is my fave. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI just LOOOOOVE chalkboards and it's a tough call on which of these is my favorite, but I'm thinking it might have to be #1.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I stumbled upon your stroke of creative genius today. I have an old mirror I picked up at an antique shop in Granville, NY YEARS ago, but it has age "damage" on the mirror glass itself so its not the greatest on its own... making it into a family-friendly chalkboard is brilliant and will keep it in my house!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
