We go to the beach every summer.
And North Carolina has some of the prettiest beaches ever.
So, when I came across this dresser at Clines with the perfect beach blue color already on it in a pleasant chippy sort of way, I knew immediately it needed to be a "beach dresser".
He started out like this:
He started out with the very slight chippy blue paint on sides, frame and top. The drawers were already sanded to the raw wood. The top had some sort of goop on it so we sanded it to raw wood to match the drawer fronts.
But look how he looks now:
I did all the drawers with the names of the beaches and each beach has a unique font. I wanted them all different with sort of a loose subway art look. I painted the names in white to keep it fresh and light. Then the drawers and top were waxed to give it a nice finish and protect the names.
Here is a look at his drawers:
As you can see we have lots of beaches in North Carolina.
So here is one last look at Fisher - the beach we visit each summer.
What do you think? Did he turn out great or what?
