Vintage Inspiration Friday #2

Today is the second Vintage Inspiration Friday with Debra over at Common Ground.
First of all thanks Debra for hosting this fantastic linky party- we all show our inspiration and then we get to be inspired by everyone else participating.

Fall or Autumn for me always means pumpkins.  I love all the different varieties there are out there. They can be tall, short and squatty, bright orange, white or some mottled ones.  Last year I was particularly taken with white ones.

I have tried 3 times now to plant them but seems the squirrels seem to like to eat the plants before they bear any pumpkins.  So, I either buy some at the market or use the very lifelike- fake ones.  Man they make them more realistic each year.
Here are a few shots of inspiration from last years decor...

Now after looking at those I figure I had better get the bins up from the basement this weekend and start "fall-i-fying" the house.
Oh and fall really starts here tomorrow as the kids first fall soccer game is in the morning.  Ahh crisp air, hoodies, jeans and screaming kids. Fun times.
Now go join Debra at Common Ground and
GET INSPIRED.

  1. Hi Tammy,
I love, love, love pumpkins! I spray painted some black this year and glittered them up! I really like the white ones too.

I have an old typewriter that I am trying to sell at my booth. I keep saying that if it doesn't sell I'm going to put a plant in it! So when I saw your picture of your typewriter-I knew it was a good idea!

  2. I love your pumpkins. I have a pumpkin collection that I add to each year so I am thrilled that everything fall is hitting the stores. Really Cute ideas. Thanks for the inspiration.

  7. Great topiary to display your address. I love real pumpkins outside, but I use a lot of the faux ones inside, they DO look so realistic, better every year. Thanks so much for linking up with me for VIF, your post and shout out were wonderful!!

  9. I love your white "punkins" inside the cloche. And your idea of stuffing some fleurs in the typewriter is just too cute.

P.S. Your booth looks really nice- just love the idea of the papered walls. You and hubs did a fantastic job!
