From dowdy to Cinderella

This is the tale of a sad pitiful Empire Buffet that I picked up at an auction.  She was in the last row to be auctioned off on a very hot day in a non air conditioned auction house so people were pooped by the time she became available.  Not me though I knew to hang till the end and make her mine. I could see the little Cinderella in her once she got a new dress and jewelry.

And here she is.

With her wonderful white gown- distressed a bit as she still was the same girl underneath.
And then her jewelry got a nice silver lift.
I think she looks smashing all ready for her ball.
All the nicely dressed go there to show off.

  4. Well it came out just beautifully! I love these old workhorse dressers and sideboards. The drawers are so deep and can store scads of stuff.

    Happy White Wednesday!
