Fall and Halloween Projects

Kara from Creations by Kara is having a show me your fall projects party today.
Be sure to link up your ideas as she is having a give-away also.
Here are some projects that I have done in the past couple of weeks.
First up is a tassel. I made lots of Halloween and a few fall ones. Very easy except the part where you burn layers of skin off your fingers with the glue guns. :)

Next is my wreath on the front door. It basically is a grapevine base with a couple of leaf garlands around it and then pumpkin and other fall veggie picks added in. Very easy and very lush. And a lot cheaper than many smaller versions at Michaels and Hobby Lobby.

Next is my burlap FALL banner that hangs over my kitchen sink. Very easy too. I just printed out the letters on my computer and taped them to the front door glass. Then taped the burlap panels over it and copied the letter with a fabric marker. Once done I folded the burlap over a length of twine and glued it down. Can't get much easier than that can you?

Lastly is my fave- my house number pumpkin topiary. It is made of 3 fake pumpkins that are have the house number carved out. I also carved the bottoms out of all three and the tops off of the bottom two. They are then hooked together with tiny holes and zip ties to each other. I tried all sorts of glue but would not work. Then I ran a length of rope lights through it all. So during the day it looks great and at night it looks amazing. Once again very easy. I think next year though I will set them in an urn. We had a tree fall and broke one of mine in two. Hubby managed to glue it back together so it is ugly with glue but I will paint it by next year. Ahh another project - the fun never ends :)

Go on over to Kara's and see the rest of the projects.

  2. Thanks so much for linking up today. :)

Love your projects! I have the perfect place for that banner, so I think I'll have to make one. And I love your pumpkin topiary. Did you carve the numbers by hand? They look just amazing. I bet it is awesome at night!

  6. Great projects. Thanks for the tip on the banner. I've been stenciling mine but there are only so many available fonts. I'm going to try your fabric marker idea. Everything looks great!

  7. Hi Tammy, I was blog surfing and found your blog today, I like that your fall decorations are not centered on Halloween, so they can take you through the season. Can't wait to see how you "do" winter!
