So, I am just rolling along with all these projects that need to be done by May 1st. Last night, I painted some urns that I had that were a hideous color and then made some moss balls to fill them. I adore them and won't be upset if they don't sell.
Next I got these cool frames in the shape of houses from the Dollar Tree. I didn't like the colors they came in but loved the barn wood they were made of and knew I could do something with them. I painted, distressed and glazed them up then put some old dictionary pages in them with a pertinent word and then embellished them with some crepe paper flowers. It was so much fun. Well except all the glue gun burns - ouch.
Here is a close-up of my favorite of the four of them.
And last but not least I picked this swivel mirror up at a thrift store. It was an ugly brown and the mirror was not perfect. So, I painted, distressed and glazed her up then put definition of nest on the mirror and then put the word NEST on it in a large bold font. And finished her off with a nest with eggs. I think it is adorable but then I am biased.
What do you think?

Oh my, you have been so busy! With 4 kids and all their needs and things they have going on plus all the things you make..when do you sleep?
ReplyDeleteI see you are on a mission of getting things done. I love the moss balls that would be my favorite! I just bought a moss ball last weekend...just the ball to put in a urn style planter that I already had...it was $27.99 just for the ball! Now to see that once again surly I could have made it myself for a fraction of that cost. Can you throw me some of your creative get up and go?
