willy wonka and the chocolate factory project

The class was reading the book and watching the movie.  Sophie was to pick a scene and recreate it in a triorama.  She and I watched the movie and she chose the Egg room.  

We spent a great deal of time finding cheap things to use in the project.  

Sophie did it all herself except for the glue gun and cutting the foam core.  

Voila!!!

A close up of the whole room.  Right down to the papered boxes and the golden eggs. 

 

We really enjoyed making the scales.  The drop down things are made of plastic salad tongs.  Cute right?

She did a great job.  I thought it was the best in the class but I'd expect nothing less from my little crafting buddy.
