About Me.

Well what to write? It is hard really I do not like to chat about myself but I'll give it a try.

I am a stay at home mom to 4 wonderful kids: a son, soon to be junior in college; a son, soon to be  freshman in college; a son, soon to be fifth grader and a daughter, soon to be third grader. I am the wife of 19 years to a wonderful man who puts up with all my changing rooms around, moving furniture, changing paint colors on a whim, and re doing a flower bed one million times. He is in the Air Force and loves cycling and all things outdoors.

I am a 40-something lady who loves crafting. I mean all of them- sewing, painting, decoupaging, scrapping, building. But my favorite has to be junk transforming. I love finding a piece of discarded - thought to be dead - and transforming it into something wonderful. I like taking old things and making them special again either by cleaning and rejuvenating or by turning them into something all together different.

I love to read magazines and books. I like working in the garden and getting my hands dirty. I do not like dishes or laundry. I, obviously dislike exercising as I am overweight. Something disgusting about sweating unless it is from carrying many bags of potting soil or piles of brick for the garden. :)

We love our house but not so much our neighborhood. We live in a historic district and our home is a 1929 foursquare. Here it is at the 4th of July. We have lived in many areas due to my husbands job - the Air Force. But hopefully NC is now and forever will be home. We have been here since 2003 and will be renting this lovely out for 3 years while we do one last assignement for the military in Wichita Falls, Texas.  Then it is back home to NC- beaches, mountains, friends and our Megaticket concert season each summer.

Here is the gang..we had just moved the oldest to his dorm room at college- Go App State!

Here we are in yet another outdated photo session..

This blog is shows that something worn from history can still be a classy part of history and that is what I like to show. So, take a bit of craft, a bit of renovation, throw in some kids and a hubby, add a bit of mod podge and power tools and you'll never know what you can create.
Thanks for meeting me and I hope you visit many times.

This blog is basically a place for me to chronicle my family, crafts and furniture projects..it is crazy ride but I'd have it no other way.
